If you are still around, thank you. I have not uploaded a post on here since early May because life got crazy and I got lazy. I thought before posting on here again, I should explain where I’ve been, what has been happening in Pania Land and give you a little update.
We moved to Perth!
The past three months have been nothing short of a whirlwind for William and I, we feel like we’ve been strapped to a roller coaster that has no handbrake or chance of stopping soon.
In early May I was made redundant from the best job I could possibly ever ask for – working from home planning weddings #dreamjob. Originally, we planned to stay in Melbourne and after a month of no overly promising job prospects, we decided it was time to move back to Perth.
I finished up my role in mid June, two weeks later we made the decision to move and two weeks after that, the house was packed and we were in Perth. It all happened VERY fast and we haven’t had much time to “stop and look around” as Ferris Bueller would say.
We have been staying with Williams parents for the past three months and after an extensive search for a house, we have finally found one and are moving in at the end of October. To be honest, the housing market in Perth isn’t fantastic and finding a house has definitely been a challenge so we are extremely happy we now have a home.
My one desire was a house with white walls to feed my minimalist interior dreams and we have white walls! Not off-white, but pure white walls!! I could not be more excited about the fact that I got what I wanted. Picture this: wooden floor boards, white walls and a million house plants. Did someone say minimalist interior goals?
Obviously you can expect an interior post or two.
I am very much looking forward to having our own space, my own kitchen, being able to cook properly again and develop a routine for our lives. We have been completely out of routine the past three months which is starting to take its toll. I find that when we have a routine, we are focused and achieve more because our life is quite structured and more manageable.
I have some exciting plans for the coming months and one of them is to weekly vlog. For two and a half years I have thought about daily vlogging and now that I have no time to do that (insert facepalm) I am actually going to vlog. I won’t be daily vlogging because of the time constraints, however weekly vlogs are a lot more manageable time wise for me and I prefer a long vlog.
I would love the videos to be between 20-30 minutes long, uploaded on a Monday morning and a bit artsy and film like, like The Michalaks or Harrisons videos. Because I am working full-time at the moment I am yet to figure out what I will film for the weekly vlog so if you have any ideas, please leave a comment below.
Along with weekly vlogging, I will be publishing blog posts on a regular basis, at least once per week. This summer we are planning a few day and weekend trips which will make the vlogs fun and give me content for the blog. Western Australia is incredibly beautiful and some places look like a tropical island which makes me very excited to explore with my camera in hand.
So that’s the update for now and I will be back shortly with another post.
